Reserving a place for oneself in the masjid

Q: Is it permissible for one to reserve a place for himself in the masjid?

A: It is impermissible for one to reserve a place for himself in the masjid.

ولا يتعين مكان مخصوص لأحد حتى لو كان للمدرس موضع من المسجد يدرس فيه فسبقه غيره إليه ليس له إزعاجه وإقامته منه (البحر الرائق 2/34, الدر المختار مع رد المحتار 1/662)
