Duaa when entering the Musjid – 1

It is sunnah to recite the following Duaa when entering the Musjid:

أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ العَظِيمِ وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيم وَسُلْطَانِهِ القَدِيم مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيم

I seek protection in Allah Ta’ala, the Great, and in His noble Countenance and His eternal might and power from the accursed Shaytaan.

عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص قال : كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول إذا دخل المسجد قال :أعوذ بالله العظيم وبوجهه الكريم وسلطانه القديم من الشيطان الرجيم قال:فإذا قال ذلك قال الشيطان حفظ مني سائر اليوم. (أبو داود رقم 466)

Hadhrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (Radhiyallahu Anhuma) reports that when Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would enter the Musjid, he would recite the following Duaa; and he said that when a person recites this duaa, shaytaan says: ‘He has gained divine protection from me for the entire day.’
