Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
عن معاذ بن أنس رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: الا أخبركم لم سمى الله تعالى ابراهيم خليله الذي وفى؟ إنه كان يقول كل ما أصبح و أمسى: فَسُبحـٰنَ اللَّـهِ حينَ تُمسونَ وَحينَ تُصبِحونَ حتى ختم الآية. (تفسير ابن كثير 4/258)
Hadhrat Muaadh bin Anas (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) once said to the Sahaabah: “Do you know the reason for Allah Ta’ala describing Hadhrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam) as الذي وفى ‘the one who was loyal to Allah Ta’ala in fulfilling his duties (as mentioned in Surah Najm)? Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then said: “Because he used to recite the following zikr every morning and evening:
فَسُبحـٰنَ اللَّـهِ حينَ تُمسونَ وَحينَ تُصبِحونَ. وَلَهُ الحَمدُ فِى السَّمـٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحينَ تُظهِرونَ.
