Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Ilyaas (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) once mentioned the following:
In my understanding, a person will tread on complete deen when he recognizes that the hidden decision of Allah Ta’ala is behind every worldly means.
One should have full conviction and believe that everything that is happening in the world, there is a Being who is in full control of it, and who is controlling it from behind the veil. It is His administration and decree that is the actual cause for everything transpiring.
Instead of one thinking that the apparent worldly means is the actual cause for everything taking place, one should rather have full conviction that the actual cause for everything taking place is the hidden decree of Allah Ta’ala. Therefore, instead of one only being concerned about adopting the apparent worldly means to fulfil one’s needs, one should rather make more effort to please Allah Ta‘ala so that Allah Ta‘ala fulfils his needs.
Hazrat Moulana Muhammed Ilyaas (rahimahullah) thereafter said, “Ponder over the following verse of the Qur’aan Majeed:
مَنۡ یَّتَّقِ اللّٰه یَجۡعَلۡ لَّه مَخۡرَجًا ﴿۲﴾ وَّیَرۡزُقۡه مِنۡ حَیۡثُ لَا یَحۡتَسِبُ
The one who fears Allah – He will make a way out for him (from every difficulty), and He will grant him sustenance from where he least expects. (Surah Talaaq v. 2-3)
