Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
Hazrat Shaikh Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) mentioned:
In this age of liberalism and free thinking, where we find many Muslims not wanting to be bound by the laws of Shari’ah in matters of deen, then apart from this, there is also deficiency in recognizing the lofty status of the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) and showing them respect and adab.
Rather, even worse than this is that certain people, who are not concerned about deen, have even begun to disrespect and revile the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum), whereas the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) are the foundation of our deen. They were the first people to spread and propagate deen to the ummah.
The rights that the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) have over us are so great that if our entire lives, we try to fulfil their rights, we will not be able to do so. May Allah Ta‘ala, out of His sheer grace and mercy, shower millions of blessings upon these great and pure personalities – the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) – as they directly acquired deen from Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), and conveyed it to us.
