Durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلَى آَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آَلِ إبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيد اَللَّهُمَّ بَارِك عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَعَلَى آَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيد اَللّهُمَّ تَرَحَّمْ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا تَرَحَّمْتَ عَلىَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيد اَللَّهُمَّ تَحَنَّنْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا تَحَنَّنْتَ عَلىَ إِبْرَاهِيم وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيم إنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيد اَلَّلهُمَّ سَلِّم عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا سَلَّمْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيد (فضائل درود  ص 96)  

O Allah, bestow mercy upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), as You bestowed mercy upon Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and the family of Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam). Verily, You are praiseworthy and all glorious. O Allah, shower blessings upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), as You showered blessings upon Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and the family of Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam). Verily, You are praiseworthy and all glorious. O Allah, shower mercy upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), as You showered mercy upon Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and the family of Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam). Verily, You are praiseworthy and all glorious. O Allah, show special compassion to Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), as You showed special compassion to Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and the family of Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam). Verily, You are praiseworthy and all glorious. O Allah, descend peace upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), as You caused peace to descend upon Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and the family of Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam). Verily, You are praiseworthy and all glorious. 

Continuously Recite Durood

A man once saw a person in his dream in the most horrific and dreadful form. Upon enquiry from the person as to who he was the man replied, “I am your evil deeds.” The man then asked, “And how can I be saved from you?” He replied, “By continuously reciting abundant durood upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Be in the Shade of the Throne of Allah Ta’ala

Allamah Sakhaawi (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) quotes this hadith that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “On the day of Qiyaamah when there shall be no shade besides the shade of the throne of Allah Ta’ala, three people shall be in the shade of Allah Ta’ala’s throne.

1)      He who repelled the misfortune of the afflicted ones.

2)      He who revived my sunnah.

3)      He who recited abundant durood on me. (Fazaail Durood)
