عن قتادة رحمه الله قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من الجفاء أن أذكر عند الرجل فلا يصلي علي (الإعلام بفضل الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم للنميري، الرقم: ٢٠٩، ورواته ثقات كما في القول البديع صـ ٣١١)
Hazrat Qataadah (rahimahullah) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “It is a sign of a person being ill-mannered (and ungrateful) that my name is mentioned in his presence, yet he neglects reciting Durood upon me.”
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported, “Whoever sends salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) once, Allah Ta‘ala and His angels will send seventy mercies and blessings upon him in return of his one Durood. Hence, whoever wishes to increase his Durood should increase it, and whoever wishes to decrease his Durood should decrease it (i.e. if he wants to earn great rewards, then he should increase his Durood).”
