Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
It appears in the hadeeth that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said that I absolve myself from the one who joins up with the kuffar. There are different explanations given to this Hadeeth, but the preferred explanation is that this refers to adopting their styles, customs and ways. Hence, when this is their season of celebration and you join them in their celebrations, then this shows that you have a liking for them. Our pious predecessors were very firm in this aspect. They never tried to do a balancing act and try to appease all people.
