Duas at the Time of Istilaam

When making istilaam of the Hajar-e-Aswad, one should recite the following duaas:

Duaa One:

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ

(I commence the tawaaf) in the name of Allah, and Allah is the greatest!  

عن نافع: أن ابن عمر كان إذا استلم الركن قال: بسم الله والله أكبر  (مصنف عبد الرزاق، الرقم: 8894)

Hazrat Naafi (rahimahullah) reports that when Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (radhiyallahu anhuma) would make istilaam of the Hajar-e-Aswad, he would recite the following dua:

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ

Duaa Two:

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِيْمَانًا بِكَ وَتَصْدِيْقًا بِكِتَابِكَ وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ

“O Allah! (I am carrying out this action of istilaam) due to having imaan in You, and believing in the truthfulness of Your kitaab and (following) the sunnah of Your Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)!”

عن ابن عباس: أنه كان إذا استلم قال: اللهم إيمانا بك وتصديقا بكتابك، وسنة نبيك صلى الله عليه وسلم (مصنف عبد الرزاق، الرقم: 8898)

It is reported that when Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbaas (radhiyallahu anhuma) would make istilaam of the Hajar-e-Aswad, he would recite the abovementioned dua.

عن نافع قال: كان ابن عمر إذا استلم الحجر قال: اللهم إيمانا بك، وتصديقا بكتابك وسنة نبيك. ثم يصلي على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. رواه الطبراني في الأوسط، ورجاله رجال الصحيح. (مجمع الزوائد، الرقم: 5471)

It is reported that when Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (radhiyallahu anhuma) would make istilaam of the Hajar-e-Aswad, he would recite the abovementioned dua. After reciting the abovementioned dua, Hazrat Ibnu Umar (radhiyallahu anhuma) would recite durood shareef.

Duaa Three:

آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَكَفَرْتُ بِالطَّاغُوْتِ

I believe in Allah and I reject all false deities.

عن سعيد بن المسيب عن عمر أنه كان يقول إذا استلم: آمنت بالله وكفرت بالطاغوت. (مصنف ابن أبي شيبة، الرقم: 16044)

Hazrat Sa’eed bin Musayyib (rahimahullah) reports that when Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) would make istilaam, he would recite the following dua:

آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَكَفَرْتُ بِالطَّاغُوْتِ
