Taking the Work of Deen From People According to their Abilities

Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Ilyaas (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) once mentioned:

When carrying out the effort of deen, then the correct system and method to be adopted is that people who are less qualified should be given work according to their position and ability (and those who are more qualified should be given work according to their position and ability). To engage those who are more qualified in the simple work is not correct when the less qualified people are available to fulfil this work.

In fact, it is actually a form of showing ingratitude to the favour of Allah Ta‘ala (by not utilizing the ability of those more qualified correctly), and it is also a form of dealing unjustly with the less-qualified (as they are not afforded the opportunity to fulfil the work of deen which they are able to do).
