Taking Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq as a Bosom Friend

Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu Anhu)-7عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه يحدث عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه قال لو كنت متخذا خليلا لاتخذت أبا بكر خليلا ولكنه أخي وصاحبي وقد اتخذ الله عز وجل صاحبكم خليلا (مسلم 2/273)

Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Mas’ood (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: If I was allowed to take a bosom friend whose love reaches the recesses of the heart, then I would have definitely taken Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu) as a bosom friend. However he is my brother in Islam and my close companion. Allah Ta’ala has (blessed me and honoured me) to be His friend. 

Only Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu) can Lead the People

Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Umar (Radhiallahu Anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) once said to Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu): “You will be my companion at the haudh (of Kauthar) and were my companion in the cave (during the journey of hijrat).

Allah Ta’ala will recompense him on the day of Qiyaamah

  Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “No one has done any favour to me except that I have reciprocated him, except for Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu). For the immense favours that he has done to me, Allah Ta’ala will recompense him on the day of Qiyaamah.  No person’s wealth has benefitted me as much as the wealth of Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu).

Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu Anhu)-2عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم  من أصبح منكم اليوم صائما قال أبو بكر أنا قال فمن تبع منكم اليوم جنازة قال أبو بكر أنا قال فمن اطعم منكم اليوم مسكينا قال أبو بكر انا قال فمن عاد منكم اليوم مريضا قال أبو بكر أنا فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ما اجتمعن في امرئ الا دخل الجنة (مسلم 2/274)

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (Radhiallahu Anhu) narrates that once Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) enquired from the Sahaabah (Radhiallahu Anhum): “Who amongst you is fasting today?” Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied: “I am fasting today.” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then enquired: “Who amongst you had visited the sick today?” Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied: “I had visited a sick person today.” Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) further enquired: “Which of you had participated in a Janaazah today?” Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied: “I had participated in a Janaazah today.” Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then asked, “Which of you has fed a poor person today?” Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied:  “I have fed a poor person today.”

Thereafter, Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The one who possesses all these qualities will definitely enter Jannah.”
