Duaa when Awakening During the Night

One should recite the following Duaa upon awakening during the night:

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

There is no deity besides Allah Ta’ala alone, the One who has no partner. To Him belongs the kingdom (of the entire universe), and for Him is all praise and He has power over everything. All praise is for Allah, Glory be to Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides Allah, and Allah is the greatest. And there is no ability (to avoid sins) and no power (to do good) except with the help of Allah Ta’ala.

عن عبادة بن الصامت رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال من تعار من الليل فقال لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير الحمد لله وسبحان الله ولا إله إلا الله والله أكبر ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله ثم قال اللهم اغفر لي أو دعا استجيب له فإن توضأ وصلى قبلت صلاته (بخاري رقم 1154)

Hazrat Ubaadah bin Saamit (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The one who wakes up during the night and recites the following Duaa, and thereafter says, ‘O Allah, forgive me’ or he makes any duaa, his Duaa will be answered; and if he makes wudhu and performs salaah, his salaah will be accepted.
