The Beloved of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال قيل يا رسول الله أي الناس أحب إليك ؟ قال عائشة قيل ومن الرجال ؟ قال أبوها (مشكوة المصابيح ص555)

Hadhrat Anas (Radhiallahu Anhu) says that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was once asked as to which person was most beloved to him. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: “Hadhrat Aaisha (Radhiallahu Anha).” The person thereupon enquired as to who was the most beloved from amongst the men. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: “Her father (i.e. Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radhiallahu Anhu)).”
