During the period Hadhrat Moulana Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) was imprisoned, there was a prisoner in the jail who requested Moulana to teach him the Qura’aan. When Moulana received the news of his release, the prisoner had a few paras left to complete and was extremely saddened to hear that Moulana was about to leave the prison. This prisoner said to Moulana, “What will happen to my Qur’aan if you leave?” Moulana comforted him saying “Do not worry, I will remain in prison with you until you complete your Qur’aan.” Thus, in this way Moulana remained in prison until this prisoner completed the entire Qur’aan. (Hadhrat Mufti Mahmood Saheb)
