Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
One should recite the following dua and blow on one’s children as a means of protection for them:
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ
I seek protection with the mubaarak and complete words of Allah Ta’ala against every type of shaitaan and harmful creature (and I seek Allah Ta’ala’s protection) against every evil eye.
عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما، قال: كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يعوذ الحسن والحسين، ويقول: إن أباكما كان يعوذ بها إسماعيل وإسحاق: أعوذ بكلمات الله التامة، من كل شيطان وهامة، ومن كل عين لامة (صحيح البخاري، الرقم: 3371)
Hazrat ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) would recite the following dua (seeking the protection of Allah Ta’ala) for Hazrat Hasan and Husain (radhiyallahu anhuma) and he would say (to them), ‘Indeed your father (Hazrat Ibraaheem (alayhis salaam)) would recite it for (his sons) Hazrat Ismaaeel and Hazrat Ishaaq (alayhimus salaam)).’
