Dua at the Time of Istilaam – 3

When making istilaam of the Hajar-e-Aswad, one should recite the following dua:

آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَكَفَرْتُ بِالطَّاغُوْتِ

I believe in Allah and I reject all false deities.

عن سعيد بن المسيب عن عمر أنه كان يقول إذا استلم: آمنت بالله وكفرت بالطاغوت. (مصنف ابن أبي شيبة، الرقم: 16044)

Hazrat Sa’eed bin Musayyib (rahimahullah) reports that when Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu anhu) would make istilaam, he would recite the following dua:

آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَكَفَرْتُ بِالطَّاغُوْتِ
