Duaa after Azaan – 1

1. After the Azaan, one should recite Durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and recite the following Duaa:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيْلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَّهُ إنَّكَ لاَتُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَاد

O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and of the established salaah, bestow upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) the ‘waseela’ (stage in Jannah)  and ‘Fadheela’(special grace), and grant him the “Maqaam Mahmood” (the honour of interceding to Allah Ta’ala to commence the reckoning for the entire creation on the day of Qiyaamah) which you promised him, indeed you do not go against your promise.

عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص رضي الله عنهما أنه سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول إذا سمعتم المؤذن فقولوا مثل ما يقول ثم صلوا علي فإنه من صلى علي صلاة صلى الله عليه بها عشرا ثم سلوا الله لي الوسيلة فإنها منزلة في الجنة لا تنبغي إلا لعبد من عباد الله وأرجو أن أكون أنا هو فمن سأل لي الوسيلة حلت له الشفاعة (مسلم رقم 384)

Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Amr ibnul Aas (Radhiyallahu Anhuma) reports that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) saying: “Whenever you hear the muazzin calling out the azaan, then repeat the words of the azaan after him, thereafter recite durood upon me. Verily whoever recites durood upon me once, Allah Ta’ala sends ten blessings on him. Then supplicate to Allah Ta’ala to bless me with the honour of ‘waseela’ which is a lofty position and rank in Jannah which will be exclusively granted to one of Allah Ta’ala’s special servants. I earnestly hope that I am granted that position. And whoever supplicates to Allah Ta’ala to grant me the ‘waseela’, he will receive my intercession on the day of Qiyaamah.”

عن جابر رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من قال حين يسمع النداء اللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة والصلاة القائمة آت محمدا الوسيلة والفضيلة وابعثه مقاما محمودا الذي وعدته حلت له شفاعتي يوم القيامة. ( بخاري رقم 614) (و أمّا زيادة انّك لا تخلف الميعاد فقد ذكرها البيهقي فى السنن الكبرى)

Hadhrat Jaabir (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whosoever recites the following duaa after azaan, he will receive my intercession on the Day of Qiyaamah.”
