عن العرباض بن سارية رضي الله عنه أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يقول لقد تركتكم على مثل البيضاء ليلها كنهارها لا يزيغ عنها إلا هالك رواه ابن أبي عاصم في كتاب السنة بإسناد حسن (الترغيب والترهيب 1/110)
Hadhrat Irbaadh bin Saariyah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) say: “I have left you on a clear path, its night is clear as its day. No one will deviate from it but one who opts for the path of destruction.”

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported, “Whoever sends salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) once, Allah Ta‘ala and His angels will send seventy mercies and blessings upon him in return of his one Durood. Hence, whoever wishes to increase his Durood should increase it, and whoever wishes to decrease his Durood should decrease it (i.e. if he wants to earn great rewards, then he should increase his Durood).”
