Remaining Firm on the Sunnah at all Times

Hadhrat Abdullah bin Amr (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “For every action there is a motivation (enthusiasm in the action), and for every motivation there will be a decline. If after the decline, one’s action conforms to my sunnah (after the enthusiasm wanes, one still carries out the action in accordance to the mubaarak sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)), then it is a sign that one is firm on guidance, and if after the decline, the condition found is besides that (one does not carry out the action in accordance to the sunnah), then one is on the path of destruction.”

Receiving Seventy Rewards

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported, “Whoever sends salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) once, Allah Ta‘ala and His angels will send seventy mercies and blessings upon him in return of his one Durood. Hence, whoever wishes to increase his Durood should increase it, and whoever wishes to decrease his Durood should decrease it (i.e. if he wants to earn great rewards, then he should increase his Durood).”
