Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
Hazrat Shaikh Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) once mentioned:
One should endeavor to emulate every sunnah of Sayyidina Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Apart from the sunnah, one should strive to even carry out the mustahab acts of Deen. This is my advice to you in my lifetime and after I leave the world. Through this one will receive the promise of becoming from among the beloved servants of Allah Ta’ala. Allah Ta’ala says in the Qur’an:
قُل إِن كُنتُم تُحِبّونَ اللَّـهَ فَاتَّبِعوني يُحبِبكُمُ اللَّـهُ وَيَغفِر لَكُم ذُنوبَكُم وَاللَّـهُ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ
(O Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) inform your ummah), If you love Allah Ta’ala, Follow me (i.e. Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)), Allah Ta’ala will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah Ta’ala is Most-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Qutbul Aqtaab Hazrat Sheikhul Hadith Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) pg. 397)
