Performing Ishraaq salaah in the Morning

One should perform ishraaq salaah after sunrise (approximately 15 to 20 minutes after sunrise).  One may perform two or four rakaats.

عن أبي الدرداء وأبي ذر : عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم عن الله عز و جل أنه قال ابن آدم اركع لي من أول النهار أربع ركعات أكفك آخره (ابو داود رقم 1291)

Hadhrat Abu Dardaa and Hadhrat Abu Zar (Radhiallahu Anhuma) report from Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) that Allah Ta’ala said: “O son of Aadam, perform four rakaats for Me in the beginning of the day, I will suffice your needs till the end of the day.”
