Only a Person who destroys himself will be a Loser

Hadhrat ibn Abbaas (Radhiallahu Anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) reported from Allah Ta’ala: “Indeed Allah Ta’ala created good and bad, and thereafter He explained it clearly (to the creation, so that they do good (virtue) and abstain from evil (sin)). So whoever intends a good action but did not fulfil it, Allah Ta’ala will write for him one good deed. If he intended it, and thereafter fulfilled it, the reward will be multiplied ten fold up to seven hundred fold and even more (based on his ikhlaas). Whoever intends committing an evil deed but did not do it, Allah Ta’ala writes down one good deed for him. If he intended the evil action and committed it, then Allah Ta’ala writes down one evil deed against his name (and in one narration it is mentioned) or Allah Ta’ala wipes it out, and only a person who destroys himself (through carrying out evil deeds) will be a loser in the court of Allah Ta’ala.”

Receiving Seventy Rewards

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported, “Whoever sends salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) once, Allah Ta‘ala and His angels will send seventy mercies and blessings upon him in return of his one Durood. Hence, whoever wishes to increase his Durood should increase it, and whoever wishes to decrease his Durood should decrease it (i.e. if he wants to earn great rewards, then he should increase his Durood).”
