Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
عَن أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلىَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلْتُم عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ فَنَفِّسُوا لَهُ فِي أَجَلِهِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَا يَرُدُّ شَيئًا وَيَطِيبُ بِنَفْسِهِ . (ابن ماجه ص104)
Hadhrat Abu Saeed Khudri (Radhiallahu Anhu) reported that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “When you visit a sick person, then give him encouragement and hope of life, for indeed giving him hope (and lifting his spirits) will not change taqdeer. However, it will be a means of bringing happiness and comfort to him.
