Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Salejee (Daamat Barakaatuhu) mentioned:
The father of the house needs to see that the aa’maal of the house are taking place diligently and consistently. If he is away from home or on a journey, then he should make the necessary arrangements and ensure that his children are punctual on their Deeni programme. If he is away, then he can phone up and find out. He needs to take it very seriously and personal. Then only will he see the true deeni colours coming into the children. But if he takes it casually and lightly and at the end they fail to come onto Deen, then he should not be shocked and surprised over the outcome. Just as in education and school related matters parents attach so much of importance, ensuring that the children go for tuition and complete their assignments and projects on its due time and are concerned that they do not fail and suffer worldly disgrace, in the same token, in regard to their Deen if parents want them to become successful and not to fail, then they should be to a greater extent concerned that their children receive the proper upbringing and Deeni attention.
