Forty Durood – Durood 15

اﻟﻠﻬُﻢﱠ ﺻَﻞﱢ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﻣُﺤَﻤﱠﺪٍ وﱠﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺁلِ ﻣُﺤَﻤﱠﺪٍ كَمَا ﺻَﻠﱠﻴـْﺖَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ إِﺑـْﺮَاهِﻴْﻢَ وَﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺁلِ إِﺑـْﺮَاهِﻴْﻢَ وَﺑَﺎرِكْ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﻣُﺤَﻤﱠﺪٍ وﱠﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺁلِ ﻣُﺤَﻤﱠﺪٍ كَمَا ﺑَﺎرَكْتَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ إِﺑـْﺮَاهِﻴْﻢَ وَﺗَﺮَﺣﱠﻢْ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﻣُﺤَﻤﱠﺪٍ وﱠﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺁلِ ﻣُﺤَﻤﱠﺪٍ كَمَا ﺗَﺮَﺣﱠﻤْﺖَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ إِﺑـْﺮَاهِﻴْﻢَ وَﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺁلِ إِﺑـْﺮَاهِﻴْﻢَ 

 O Allah, shower Your mercy upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), as You showered Your mercy upon Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and the family of Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam), and shower Your blessings upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), as You showered Your blessings upon Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam), and shower Your compassion upon Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the family of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), as You showered Your compassion upon Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam) and the family of Hadhrat Ebrahim (Alaihis Salaam).

The Source of Guidance is the Qur’an and the Mubaarak Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

Somebody once said to Hadhrat Ibn Umar (Radhiallahu Anhu): “Allah Ta’ala has made mention in the Qur’an regarding Salaah in peace and Salaah in fear, but He has not made mention regarding Salaah during a journey.

Hadhrat Ibn Umar (Radhiallahu Anhu) replied: “O my nephew! Allah Ta’ala sent Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) as His Messenger to us when we were ignorant and knew nothing. We should follow him in everything he did."

Hazrat Sheikh Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhelwi (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) mentioned:  This shows that it is not necessary that each and every law be explicitly found in the Qur’an. The life of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and his actions is a guide for us to follow. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:

“I have been given the Qur’an and also other commandments. Beware of the time which is coming shortly when carefree people sitting on their couches will say. ‘Stick to the Qur'an only. Carry out only the commandments contained therein.’” (Fazaail Aamaal)

يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَ سَلِّمْ دَائِمًا أَبَدًا عَلَى حَبِيبِكَ خَيرِ الخَلْقِ كُلِّهِمِ
