Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanwi (rahimahullah) once mentioned the following:
In the Qur’aan Majeed, Allah Ta‘ala says:
وَالله بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ خَبِیۡرٌ
Allah is All-Aware of the actions you do.
In this verse, Allah Ta‘ala has taught His servants a way to make muraqabah (i.e. to meditate over their actions and take stock of themselves).
If a person keeps the message of this verse in mind at all times, then he will not fall short in carrying out righteous actions (and nor will he will get involved in sinful deeds).
Rather, at every moment in his life, he will be conscious and mindful that Allah Ta‘ala is watching his inner and outer condition and how he conducts in the world.
Through practicing on this for some time, this condition will become a reality and part of one’s very nature.
