Doing the Work of Deen in Whichever Condition One is In

Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanwi (rahimahullah) once mentioned the following:

A sickness which has become common among many people today is that they feel that when they are in favourable conditions, then they will get ready to do the work of deen, whereas the exclusive way in deen and Shari’ah is that one is commanded to commence making effort in deen (despite whatever condition one is in). After commencing the work, favourable conditions will come about (through the barakah of the work). Unfortunately, people have felt the opposite.
