Dua when suffering from pain in the eyes or conjunctivitis (pink eyes)

When one is suffering from pain in the eyes or conjunctivitis (pink eyes), one should recite the following dua:

اللَّهُمَّ مَتِّعْنِي بِبَصَرِي، وَاجْعَلْهُ الْوَارِثَ مِنِّي، وَأَرِنِي فِي الْعَدُوِّ ثَأْرِي، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي

O Allah, allow me to take benefit from my eyesight, and allow the goodness of my eyesight (my deeni vision and effort) to continue after my demise, and allow me to see my revenge against my enemy (materialize, by allowing me to overpower him and defeat him), and assist me against those who oppress me.

عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا أصابه رمد، أو أحدا من أهله وأصحابه، دعا بهؤلاء الكلمات: اللهم متعني ببصري، واجعله الوارث مني، وأرني في العدو ثأري، وانصرني على من ظلمني (المستدرك على الصحيحين للحاكم، الرقم: 8272، وقال الذهبي في التلخيص: فيه ضعيفان)

Hazrat Anas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) would recite the following dua when he was afflicted with pain in his eyes, and he would also recite it for those of his family or Sahaabah who were affected with it:

اللَّهُمَّ مَتِّعْنِي بِبَصَرِي، وَاجْعَلْهُ الْوَارِثَ مِنِّي، وَأَرِنِي فِي الْعَدُوِّ ثَأْرِي، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي
