Dua When Experiencing Fever

When experiencing fever, one should recite the following dua:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الكَبِيرِ أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ العَظِيمِ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ عِرْقٍ نَعَّارٍ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَرِّ النَّار

In the name of Allah, the Great, I seek refuge in Allah, the Almighty, from the evil of every spurting vein, and from the evil of the heat of Jahannum

عن ابن عباس، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يعلمهم من الحمى ومن الأوجاع كلها أن يقول: بسم الله الكبير، أعوذ بالله العظيم من شر كل عرق نعار، ومن شر حر النار: هذا حديث غريب لا نعرفه إلا من حديث إبراهيم بن إسماعيل بن أبي حبيبة وإبراهيم يضعف في الحديث ويروى: عرق يعار (سنن الترمذي، الرقم: 2075)

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbaas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) would teach them the following dua when suffering from fever and from all types of body pain:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الكَبِيرِ أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ العَظِيمِ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ عِرْقٍ نَعَّارٍ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَرِّ النَّار
