Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
When one experiences tinnitus (buzzing or ringing sound in the ears), one should think of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), send durood upon him and then while thinking of him, one should recite the following dua which Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) had taught for such an ailment:
ذَكَرَ اللهُ بِخَيرٍ مَنْ ذَكَرَنِي
May Allah Ta‘ala remember with goodness the one who has remembered me (i.e. may Allah Ta’ala reward Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) with a good reward for him teaching me to recite this dua at the time of experiencing this difficulty).
Insha Allah, through the barakah of remembering Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), reciting durood upon him and making dua to Allah Ta‘ala to reward him for remembering his ummah and teaching them this dua at the time of experiencing this difficulty, the buzzing and ringing sound in the ears will go away and one will be blessed with shifa.
عن محمد بن عبيد الله بن أبي رافع، عن أخيه عبد الله بن عبيد الله بن أبي رافع، عن أبيه، عن جده، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا طنت أذن أحدكم فليذكرني، وليصل علي، وليقل: ذكر الله بخير من ذكرني (المعجم الكبير للطبراني، الرقم: 958، وقال الهيثمي في مجمع الزوائد، الرقم: 17142: وإسناد الطبراني في الكبير حسن)
Hazrat Abu Raafi (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “When anyone of you experiences tinnitus (buzzing or ringing in the ears), then he should remember me and recite durood upon me, and he should recite the following dua:
ذَكَرَ اللهُ بِخَيرٍ مَنْ ذَكَرَنِي
