Dua when seeing the new moon – 4

When seeing the new moon, one should recite the following dua:

اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا نَصْرَهُ وَخَيْرَهُ وَبَرَكَتَهُ وَفَتْحَهُ وَنُورَهُ نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ، وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ

O Allah, grant us this new month’s help, goodness, blessings, victory and noor. We seek Your divine protection from its evil and the evil of what may come after it.

عن أبي إسحاق، أن عليا، كان يقول إذا رأى الهلال: اللهم ارزقنا نصره، وخيره، وبركته وفتحه، ونوره، نعوذ بك من شره، وشر ما بعده (المصنف لابن أبي شيبة، الرقم: 9824)

Abu Ishaaq (rahimahullah) reports that Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) would recite the following dua when he would see the crescent (of the new month)
