The Special Durood of Hazrat Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu)

عن سيدنا عبد الله بن عباس رضي الله عنهما أنه كان يقول: اللهم تقبّل شفاعة محمد الكبرى وارفع درجته العليا وآته سؤله في الآخرة والأولى كما آتيت إبراهيم وموسى (مصنف عبد الرزاق، الرقم: ٣١٠٤، وإسناده جيد قوي صحيح كما في القول البديع صـ ١٢٢)

Hazrat Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports that when he used to recite Durood upon Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), he would recite it in the following words:

اَللّٰهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ شَفَاعَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكُبْرٰى وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ الْعُلْيَا وَآتِهِ سُؤْلَهُ فِيْ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُوْلٰى كَمَا آتَيْتَ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَمُوْسٰى

O Allah Ta’ala, accept the intercession of Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) (i.e. the intercession at the time when all the nations will be in difficulty on the plains of resurrection) and raise him to the highest rank, and grant him what he desires in the Aakhirah and this world, as You granted Ebrahim and Moosa (‘alaihimas salaam).
