Ihyaaud Deen An Effort to Revive Deen in Totality
Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Salejee (Daamat Barakaatuhu) mentioned:
Allah Ta‘ala speaks about the love and concern that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) had for his ummah. It was on account of this love that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) looked for ways whereby we would be able to progress and be successful.
Thus, he has shown us the way to prepare before the arrival of any event. Hence, it was Nabi’s (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) habit to have the wudhu water prepared for tahajjud before going to sleep. He discouraged us from sleeping before ‘esha in case we miss our salaah. Likewise, we should not engage in futile discussions and actions after ‘esha as this will cause us to miss the tahajjud salaah. Thus, he wants us to win at all times and not be losers.
