Recurring Rewards

Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Salejee (Daamat Barakaatuhu) mentioned:

There are certain actions the rewards of which continue to recur all the time despite whatever condition a person may be in, e.g. remaining with imaan, being in nikaah or keeping a beard. A person may even be sleeping, but he continues to earn rewards.

However, the opposite is also true. If a person does not keep a beard, then he will be in sin all the time. Even if he is carrying out some act of ibaadah e.g. salaah or tawaaf, but due to him breaking the command of Allah Ta‘ala by not keeping a beard, he is in sin.
