Earning the Immense Mercy of Allah Ta’ala

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) and Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) narrate that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Send salutations upon me, Allah Ta’ala will shower mercy upon you.”

Being Blessed with the Clothes of Jannah

Hazrat Sufyaan bin Uyainah (rahimahullah) narrates that Khalaf (rahimahullah) said:

I had a friend with whom I used to study Hadith. After he passed away, I saw in a dream that he was wandering freely, wearing a new pair of green clothes. I asked him, “We used to study Hadith together, so how then did you reach this high station of honour and dignity?” He replied, “Yes, we did write Hadith together, but whenever I came across the blessed name of Rasulullah  (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), I would write “(sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)” underneath. In return for this deed, Allah Ta‘ala granted me this honour that you see.” (Al-Qurbah Libni Bashkuwal Pg. 120)

Receiving Seventy Rewards

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported, “Whoever sends salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) once, Allah Ta‘ala and His angels will send seventy mercies and blessings upon him in return of his one Durood. Hence, whoever wishes to increase his Durood should increase it, and whoever wishes to decrease his Durood should decrease it (i.e. if he wants to earn great rewards, then he should increase his Durood).”
