The Value of Istiqaamah

Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) once mentioned:

If a person is punctual and consistent on his ma’moolaat (i.e. after fulfilling all the faraa’idh, waajibaat and sunan actions of deen), then this is such a great achievement that even if he does not introduce any new nafl a’maal into his life, it will not harm him and he will still progress. The reason is that remaining punctual on one’s ma’moolaat is known as ‘istiqaamah’ (steadfastness), and the Akaabir have clearly mentioned that istiqaamah is even greater than a miracle.
