Turning to Allah Ta‘ala alone in the hour of need

Hazrat Shaikh Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) has written:

The hearts of all men in the world are controlled by Allah Ta‘ala alone. However humbly we entreat someone and earnestly request him to fulfill our need, he will not be moved, unless He, in whose hands the hearts of all men lie, wills it so. On the other hand, if He, in whose control lies the hearts of all men, decrees it to happen, He will inspire the hearts of men to fulfill our need. Despite how much of disinterest we show towards a person, he will be obliged to fulfill our need. The reason is that Allah Ta‘ala will create a strong feeling within his heart to fulfill our need. So, it is Allah Ta‘ala alone who we should turn to and whose help we should seek in the hour of need.
