Become Grateful Slaves of Allah Ta’ala

Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Salejee (Daamat Barakaatuhu) mentioned:

We should endeavour to become grateful slaves of Allah Ta‘ala. The difference between a slave and a worker is that a worker can make demands if what is promised to him is not given to him. However, a slave just has to accept whatever the master gives him and plans for him. Together with this slavery that we need to display before Allah Ta‘ala, we should also be grateful towards Him. Gratitude and appreciation are extremely great qualities which are pleasing to Allah Ta‘ala.
