An Accommodating Demeanour and Character

Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Salejee (Daamat Barakaatuhu) mentioned:

One of the very comprehensive du’aas of Rasulullah (sallallahu  alaihi wasallam) was: “O Allah! Grant me an accommodating demeanour and character.” This is very important because as long as we live with people there will definitely be situations that will go against us. We will have to tolerate all of this. If a person is not prepared for unpleasant situations and distasteful experiences, he must go stay on a mountain top where there will be no one to upset him.
