The Five Inevitable Questions on the Day of Qiyaamah

Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas’ood (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “(On the day of Qiyaamah) the feet of each person from the children of Aadam (Alayhis Salaam) will not be able to move from its place until he is asked (the following) five questions. (1) Regarding his life and the manner in which he had spent it? (2) Regarding his youth and the manner in which he had passed it? (3) Regarding his wealth and the avenues through which he had earned it? (4) Regarding the avenues in which he had spent his wealth? (5) Regarding his knowledge of Deen, whether or not he had practised upon the knowledge of Deen he acquired during his life?”

Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reported, “Whoever sends salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) once, Allah Ta‘ala and His angels will send seventy mercies and blessings upon him in return of his one Durood. Hence, whoever wishes to increase his Durood should increase it, and whoever wishes to decrease his Durood should decrease it (i.e. if he wants to earn great rewards, then he should increase his Durood).”
