Discussing the Lives of our Akaabir

Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Salejee (Daamat Barakaatuhu) mentioned:

It is important for us to discuss the lives of our Akaabir. Through discussing the lives of our Akaabir, we will understand their nature and disposition and the manner in which they adhered to the sunnah. Otherwise, we will confine ourselves to the external laws of Shariah without understanding its correct practical implementation. Therefore, we should discuss the lives of our pious predecessors regularly so that the aspects relating to Deen and the sunnah settle firmly in our minds.
