After Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) had entered, Hazrat Sa\u2019d (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) began to cry. Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) asked him, \u201cWhy are you crying?\u201d Hazrat Sa\u2019d (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) replied, \u201cI fear that I will pass away in the land from which I had performed Hijrah, as Hazrat Sa\u2019d bin Khawlah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) had passed away.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) then made the following du\u2018aa for Hazrat Sa\u2019d (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) thrice, \u201cO Allah! Cure Hazrat Sa\u2019d (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu)!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Sa\u2019d (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) thereafter asked Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), \u201cO Rasul of Allah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)! I have abundant wealth, and only my daughter will inherit from me. Can I make a wasiyyat (bequest) for all my wealth (to be given in charity after my demise)?\u201d Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied, \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Sa\u2019d (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) then asked, \u201cCan I bequest for two-thirds of my wealth (to be given in charity after my demise)?\u201d Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied, \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hazrat Sa\u2019d (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) then asked if he could bequest for half of his wealth to be given in charity after his demise, to which Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied in the negative.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Hazrat Sa\u2019d (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) asked Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) if he could bequest for one-third of his wealth to be given in charity after his demise. Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) replied, \u201c(You may bequest) one-third, and even one-third is a large amount.
