In the case where one pays the water or light account of a poor person without his consent, then since this requirement of tamleek (transferring of ownership of the wealth to the poor person) is not found as the poor person did not give one permission to act on his behalf, the zakaat will not be discharged. However, if one seeks permission from the poor person before paying his water or light account and the poor person permits him to do so, then since one is acting on his behalf in paying his light and water account, the zakaat will be discharged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" dir=\"RTL\" style=\"font-family: 'Traditional Arabic';
