Abu Sha\u2019thaa (rahimahullah) mentions, \u201cOn one occasion, we were seated with Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) in the musjid when the muazzin called out the azaan. After the azaan was called out, a man stood and began to walk (out of the musjid without an excuse, before performing the salaah). Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) watched this person as he left the musjid and then remarked, \u2018As for this person, he has disobeyed Abul Qaasim (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)\u2019 (as Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) has instructed that after the azaan is called out, no person should leave the musjid without performing the fardh salaah, unless he has a valid excuse).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) once asked the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum), \u201cShould I not inform you of such actions through which Allah Ta\u2018ala will erase your sins and raise your ranks?\u201d The Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) replied, \u201cCertainly inform us, O Rasul of Allah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)!\u201d Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cPerforming a complete wudhu despite difficulties, taking abundant steps in walking towards the masaajid and awaiting the next salaah after one salaah is performed. These actions resemble the action of those who protect the Islamic frontiers against the enemies of Islam (i.e. through these actions, one protects himself from the nafs and Shaitaan, just as those guarding the frontiers protect the Muslims against the enemies of Islam).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

5. Do not spend wealth from public funds for the adornment of the musjid. If one wishes, he may spend his own wealth to adorn the musjid, provided it is within the limits of Shari\u2019ah.[7]<\/sup><\/p>\n

Hazrat Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cI was not commanded to raise the structures of the musjid (without any need and just for beautification purposes).\u201d Hazrat Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) mentioned, \u201c(A time will come when) you will most certainly adorn and beautify the masaajid (beyond the limits of Shari\u2019ah) as the Jews and Christians adorned and beautified their places of worship.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
