Its preservation is not limited to the scrolls and pages; instead it is preserved in the recesses of the hearts of even little children of this ummah. Similarly the Mubaarak Ahaadith of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) – which in reality is the commentary of the Qur’an Shareef – have been preserved with sound authentic chains joining up to Hazrat Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).

How can it not be so, when Allah Ta’ala himself had taken the divine onus and responsibility of protecting and preserving the Shari’ah of Islam till the end of time? In the case of the Jews, they disrespected their Ambiya and pious and bore hatred against them, to such an extent that they hurled abuse and physically tormented them, and even went to the point of killing them. In the case of the Christians, they praised and extolled Nabi Isa (Alayhis Salaam) beyond limits, till finally they elevated him to the position of a deity. Hence we gauge that the misguidance of these two deviant sects revolved around distortion (of their divine religion) and extremism (the elements of extreme love and excessive hatred).

Shi’ism under the Microscope

An in-depth study of Shi’ism will bring one to the realisation that it is nothing but a combination of Judaism and Christianity in various respects.

Apart from the element of distortion which is evidently witnessed in the books of the Shia – where a concerted effort was made to fabricate narrations and distort the true facts of Islam and attributing them to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) – the elements of love and hatred stand out distinctly in nearly every branch of Shi’ism. They have limited their innovated religion to the extreme love and extolment of some prominent personalities from the Ahle Bayt, and have exhibited hatred beyond limits and bounds for the rest of the family of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and the galaxy of Sahaabah.

The difference between Islam and Shi’ism

The superstructure of Islam with all its pillars rest on a rock-solid foundation of faith and correct beliefs. Merely practising on the main tenets of Islam, viz. Salaah, zakaat, fasting, Hajj, etc., without bringing true faith, will render one a kaafir and take him out of the fold of Islam. A person can strive to be a devoted worshipper and have mountains of good deeds apparently to his credit. However due to the lack of correct beliefs, all those good deeds will prove worthless on the day of Qiyaamah. Hence studying the religion of shi’ism brings one to the realisation that they have denied the main tenets of Islam and disbelieve in those fundamental beliefs upon which true salvation lies. In regard to the one whose beliefs are corrupt, Allah Ta’ala explains in the Holy Qur’an:

مَثَلُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا بِرَبِّهِم أَعمـلُهُم كَرَمادٍ اشتَدَّت بِهِ الرّيحُ فى يَومٍ عاصِفٍ لا يَقدِرونَ مِمّا كَسَبوا عَلى شَىءٍ ذلِكَ هُوَ الضَّلـلُ البَعيدُ ﴿ابراهيم: ١٨﴾

“The likeness of those who reject faith in their Lord is that their (good) deeds are as (worthless) as dust, on which the wind blows furiously on a stormy day; they shall acquire nothing of what they have earned. They are the medium between the ummah and Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). Allah Ta’ala used them for the preservation of the Qur’an, the Sunnah and the knowledge of Deen. Since they were responsible for conveying the knowledge of the Qur’an and the Sunnah to the ummah, one can understand that the entire superstructure of Deen rests on the Sahaabah. If one removes the Sahaabah from the equation, nothing of Deen will remain protected and safeguarded. The authenticity of the Qur’an and the reliability of the Ahaadith of Rasululullah (Sallallahu Alayhu Wasallam) will be totally lost. Hence it is the ploy of the shias to defame, revile and criticize the Sahaabah in order to destroy the entire Deen of Islam.

If one examines and studies the religion of Shi’ism, one will realise that their entire religion is based on criticizing and hurling abuse against the Sahaabah. They believe that the more they swear the Sahaabah, the more reward they will receive and their status will rise in the sight of Allah Ta’ala. There is no other religion in the entire world wherein the worship and success of its followers is based upon swearing their forerunners and predecessors. The Shias play on the emotions and sentiments of people in order to win them over to Shi’ism and mislead them from the Deen of Islam. They commence with explaining to people the love that they have for the Ahle Bayt (the family of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)). Any person hearing the praises of the shia in favour of the Ahle Bayt begins to feel attracted towards them on account of the love that every Muslim possesses for Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and his Mubaarak household. At the second stage, they present fabricated reports regarding the Sahaabah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and try to convince the masses that the Sahaabah ill treated the Mubaarak household of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). Naturally any person who hears such information is enraged and wishes to defend the Mubaarak household of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). However, he is ignorant of the fact that the “information” is merely fabricated reports made up by the shia. Slowly and gradually a person begins to believe whatever they propagate to him and he loses his Imaan. This is the plot and strategy the shia adopt to make inroads into the Muslim ummah and destroy Islam from its very roots.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) foretold the coming of such times where some people will revile the Sahaabah and make them the target of their criticism.

The curse of Allah Ta’ala upon those who curse the Sahaabah

1.
