Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cRecite Durood upon me, for certainly it is a form of purification for you. Ask Allah Ta\u2018ala to grant me the position of \u201cwaseelah\u201d, which is a rank in the highest stages of Paradise that is reserved for only one person, and I hope that I am the one who is blessed with this honour and position.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Face Transformed to a Swine<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Nuzhatul Majaalis, the following incident is recorded:<\/p>\n

A man and his son were on a journey. On the way, the father passed away and his face was transformed to that of a swine. The son, seeing this, cried bitterly and made dua to Allah Ta’ala for the welfare of his father.<\/p>\n

The son soon fell asleep and saw a man telling him, \u201cYour father used to consume interest, and it is for this reason that you now see his face in this condition. But rejoice, for Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) has interceded on his behalf, for whenever he heard the blessed name of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), he recited Durood upon him. Through the intercession of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), his face has now been restored to its original form.\u201d\u00a0 (Nuzahatul Majaalis 2\/82)<\/p>\n
