Hazrat Anas bin Maalik (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cWhen two muslims who love one another (for the sake of Allah Ta\u2018ala) meet each other and send durood (salutations) upon Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), then before they depart from one another, their future and past (minor) sins are forgiven.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The Mahr of Hazrat Aadam (\u2018alaihis salaam)<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Sheikh Abdul Haq Dehlawi (rahimahullah) writes in \u201cMadaarijun Nubuwwah\u201d that when Hazrat Hawwaa (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) was created, Hazrat Aadam (\u2018alaihis salaam) wanted to stretch forth his hands towards her. The angels then said, \u201cBe patient until the nikaah is performed and you give her the mahr.\u201d Hazrat Aadam (\u2018alaihis salaam) then inquired, \u201cWhat is the mahr?\u201d The angels replied, \u201cThe recitation of Durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).\u201d (According to another report, the mahr was twenty Durood upon Rasulullah sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam.)
