Hazrat Ibnu Abbaas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhuma) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cDo not drink in one gulp like a camel, rather drink in two or three sips, and take the name of Allah Ta\u2018ala when you begin drinking, and praise Allah Ta\u2018ala when you have completed drinking.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

2. While drinking, thank Allah Ta\u2018ala for the drink He has granted you by reciting \u201cAlhamdulillah\u201d.[3]<\/sup><\/p>\n

Hazrat Anas (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) said, \u201cCertainly Allah Ta\u2018ala is pleased with the servant who eats a morsel of food, or drinks a sip of water, and praises Allah Ta\u2018ala (in appreciation) for it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

3. Do not drink from the chipped or broken side of the cup, as it is possible that you may get cut.<\/p>\n
