When he passed away, his two sons divided his estate equally among themselves. Among the inheritance were three strands of hair of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). After each brother taking one hair, the elder brother suggested that the third hair be cut in half, so that each may be able to equally share the third hair. However, the younger brother was overcome with grief and distress upon hearing this suggestion and thus exclaimed, \u201cThe blessed hair of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) shall never be cut.\u201d The elder brother then suggested, \u201cWill it please you that the three strands of hair come to you as your portion of the inheritance, while I take the rest of the estate?\u201d The younger brother agreed to this with great pleasure and satisfaction. Thus the elder brother had acquired all the wealth that the father had left behind, while the younger brother had the three strands of hair. The younger brother kept those mubaarak strands of hair with him all the time. Very often, he would take them out, look at them and recite durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>It was not long thereafter that the elder brother lost all his wealth, while the younger brother became extremely wealthy.
