Hadhrat ibn Abbaas (Radhiallahu Anhuma) reports that when he used to recite durood upon Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) he would recite it in the following words:\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

O Allah, accept the intercession of Hadhrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) (i.e. the intercession at the time when all the nations will be in difficulty on the plains of Hashr) and raise him to the highest rank, and grant him what he desires in the Aakhirah and this world, like how<\/em> You granted Hadhrat Ibraheem and Hadhrat Moosa (Alaihimus Salaam)<\/em><\/p>\n

The Light of the Durood upon Hazrat Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hazrat Abul Qaasim Marwazi (rahimahullah) relates:<\/p>\n

My father and I used to study Ahaadith at night. It was seen in a dream that on the spot where we sat, a brilliant light had appeared which stretched right to the heavens. Someone then enquired as to what this beam of light was. It was explained that this was the light of the Durood upon Nabi (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) which these two scholars had recited while they were studying Ahaadith.
